Dr. Walter Eddy, Doctor of Oriental Medicine

Dr Walter photoWalter Eddy, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, is dedicated to bringing health and healing to his patients, with over 20 years of experience in the field. Walter received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from San Diego State University in 1980, and in 1995 received his Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. Walter returned to his native Santa Fe in 2002 and opened his private practice. He is a Clinical Supervisor at Southwest Acupuncture College in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

“My other great love and interest is psychology, and by using psychological therapies such as hypnosis, interactive guided imagery, and neurolinguistic programming in conjunction with traditional acupuncture, I strive to give my patients the best treatment possible. Studying these other modalities has given me an understanding about how the mind works, and how the emotional state of a patient plays a pivotal role in the evolution of disease. It is very gratifying to see when I treat people not only pain relief, but also personal and emotional changes in my patients.”
